Cancer Symptoms


    Uncategorized Cancer Symptoms:

  • Absolutly NONE
  • had swollen lymph node
  • Low grade fevers, fatigue, extreme headaches, anemia, bone pain
  • lump on neck
  • My Granfather James died of Lung Cancer in 1981, my Grandmother Elizabeth died with a rare liver cancer in 1999, At some point or another my aunt Ruby had a full masectomy, my aunt Betty had several surgeries to remove lumps in her breasts, my Grandmother Lois had a lung removed in 2003, my Mother had Cervical Cancer in 2004
  • night sweats,fever,headache,severe back pain,sore lymph nodes,blured vision, swolen stomach,sore stomach,bone pain,excess sweating,shortness of breath,tired- tired-very sore teeth, tired....feels like a bubble in my chest in centre
  • None
  • Pain in my left thigh.

    Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Symptoms:

  • Anemia, enlarged/distended spleen, low white count, weight loss, fatigue, constant bloody noses, occasional blood-vessel bursting rashes (especially along left/spleen side of torso and feet.
  • Bruising, weakness, bone pain.
  • high fever for months. pail skin, red rash on face and body, leg and back bone pain, tired, mood swings,
  • I had spots that looked like bruises on my skin and my left sinus was completely clogged. I had none of the traditional symptoms of leukemia.
  • Weakness, bruising, and i just became very ill all of the time.

    Acute Myeloid Leukemia Symptoms:

  • For 3 weeks I was told the bloody noses were due to the lack of humididty in our home and the leg pain and fever were due to flu. Finally, knowing that my child , although a great actor couldnt possibly be holding onto this just for some attention. Saturday February 16th, 2008 I took her to her regualr pediatrician'S office.
  • None really. Just some bruising and I was tired a lot.

    Anal Cancer Symptoms:

  • Blood in stool, itching at anus
  • Lower back pain Vaginal pressure Low energy
  • vaginal dryness 9 mos pre-dx vaginal/rectal pressure 1 mo pre-dx change in bowel habits 3 mos pre-dx rectal bleeding 2 weeks pre-dx

    Bladder Cancer Symptoms:

  • I began passing blood in my urine. That'll scare the daylights outta ya.

    Bones and Joints Cancer Symptoms:

  • Back pain

    Brain Cancer Symptoms:

  • Severe Headache, personality, vision, coordination changes
  • grand mal seizure
  • headaches, short term memories, long term memories, hand-eye coordination, seizures.... that all I can thank of but I do have memory problems. HAHAHA
  • Progressive neurological failure of fine motor coordination in left hand. Headaches. Dizzyness. Slurred speech.

    Breast Cancer Symptoms:

  • Aching and hardening in my breast. I can see the tumor growing and pushing my breast aside.
  • annual mammogram~at age 40 (1st) found! Not until next mammogram at age 43 detected though I'd had physical exams annually!
  • Bloody nipple discharge from one breast only. Tenderness with (initially) no palpable or detectable (except by MRI) tumor.
  • Cancer did Not Show up on Mammagram for five years. I found the mass in September after using my arms a lot to pick up my AVA BABY Granddaughter. Thought I had a new muscle. Went to the Dr. anyway. It was Cancer.
  • Feeling sometimes bitchy I put that down to arimidex. I hate the revisiting of menopause, night sweats, etc. Sometimes I just feel tired and can't keep up.
  • Felt a lump in my breast that hadn't been there before.
  • Felt a lump.
  • Found a lump on upper left breast

  • I discovered a small lump on my right breast one night lying on the sofa watching Tv.
  • I felt a lump about the size of a grape on my right breast. Just after I had my baby of 8 months old.
  • I felt a lump by accident and brought it to the attention of my Gynecologist. Initially I was told that I was too young...but, obviously, he was wrong. It took 5 months to be diagnosed!
  • I felt a lump in the shower and I was concerned and had it checked out. Turns out it was positive for breast cancer

  • I found a lump in my left breast while putting on my bra that snaps in the front. I don't think I would of found this if it wasn't for the placement of it being so close to the edge of my breast and close to the snap. I also would feel a tingling sensation in the area every now and then, sometimes it would itch a little.

  • i had spontaneous discharge for a number of years. my gyno kept telling me it was nothing and the more i played with it, the more it would leak out. i was sent for mammograms year after year, but nothing was detected. then after about three years, i was given an ultrasound and it showed that I had four tumors. The biggest was 1 cm and that's how they determined that it was stage 1.
  • I have had no symptoms. My diagnosis was from a yearly mammogram.

  • I really had no symptoms that I noticed. I accidentally found the first lump in 1994 myself. The second one in 2005 was detected during my annual mammogram. I would never have found this one because it was in the center of the breast at the back wall.

  • While removing my clothes for bed I looked into the mirror and was shocked to notice that one side of my breast was larger than the other, fell to the inside, and felt like it had something in it. It made me think of the patients who came in with breast implants, since that’s what it felt like. A few months earlier I had noticed several times that my breasts seemed to be hot to the touch and I wondered if I had an infection.

    Cancer of the Esophagus Symptoms:

  • Difficult swallowing and am on liquid diet. No real pain as yet.

    Cervical Cancer Symptoms:

  • I didn't ever have any symptoms. It was found during my physical with my doctor.
  • I had spotting at first, which I ignored, until bleeding was heavier, especially during sex, I also started gaining weight..when I was always little. I always thought you lose weight when sick, the weight didnt start falling off until chemo came into the picture
  • watery discharge that progressed to mucus/blood discharge, bleeding after sex, pelvic cramps all of the time

    Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Symptoms:

  • Fatigue, bone pain, hemmorage, nausea, diahrrea.

    Colon and Rectal Cancer Symptoms:

  • animic--I also have lupus and this was found on a routine blood test. I had no other symtoms. Had I got a colonoscopy one year earlier at age 50, I probably would not have got cancer. Please have a colonoscopy at least by age 50! Earlier if there is a family history or if you have symtoms.
  • Bart had indegestion. Brian & Bruce had none.
  • Blood in stool (in previous years) Irregular movements, nausea, and loss of appetite (all not present until 3 months prior to diagnosis)
  • Blood in the stool
  • Dull pain in Abdomen
  • I could feel the tumor. Alternate constipation and diahorreah. Clonoscopy ,scope could not get past the tumor.
  • I did not have any symtoms unti;l the tumor perforated the colon wall, as it had gotten to big
  • Intense stomach pain, nausea & vomiting.
  • Multiple flushes of bloody stool, spontaneous initiation & resolution, over four hours in mid-December 2004. Analyzed by a PA to probably be a manifestation of diverticulitis shown on sigmoidoscopy 2 yrs before. Six weeks later further flushings resulted in ER admission to Holy Cross Hospital January 31, 2005.

  • No initial symptoms.
  • none, allergist noticed blood loss and severe anemia, contacted GP who ordered tests.
  • Really had none but in hindsight there were signs. My abdomen was bloated - no pain, I could fall asleep sitting up. Crying for long periods of time for seemingly no reason at all. Not feeling myself - thought I was depressed. Upon diagnosis there was blood in my stool and my stools were darker than normal but I never paid attention to that and never saw any blood. Also had reoccurent urinary tract infections in the 1.5 prior to diagnosis
  • Sept. 05 I began having what felt like menstral cramping after my period. Timing was off, the cramps would come and go. After years of being told I had IBS, after 3 pregnancies, I had a colonoscopy in 11/07 & was told that day I had a malignant tumor. The troublesome part is that the Dr's could have caught this 2 years ago. I was even in the ER in 10/06 complaining of severe abdominal pain & was sent home. They thought it was food poisoning & pregnancy. For a whole year I suffered with 'blockage' symptoms (vomiting & pain).

    Endometrial / Uterine Cancer Symptoms:

  • Unexpected vaginal bleeding, 10 yrs. post-menopause

    Eye and Orbit Cancer Symptoms:

  • Blurred Vision slight headache
  • Straight lines look wavy, flashing lights, floaters.

    Gastrointestinal Carcinoid Tumors Symptoms:

  • swelling being very tired sometimes pain in bones sometimes no symptons that you associate with cancer silent ones

    Hodgkin Lymphoma Symptoms:

  • Asymptomatic
  • lump in the left side of my neck.
  • None
  • Painful swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, fatigue, and constant fever.

    Kidney Cancer Symptoms:

  • Frequent fevers, right-sided upper abdominal pain, right flank pain, fatigue, and microscopic hematuria.
  • My husband has lost 45 pounds in about 2 months. The tumors in his liver are consuming all the calories he takes in. He is extremely fatigued and often is nasuated.
  • Shortness of breath.....seriously that was it!

    Liver and Intrahepatic Bile Duct Symptoms:

  • Swollen belly, feels hard Vomiting Pain

    Lung and Bronchus Cancer Symptoms:

  • At first just cancer of the right lung.
  • back pain
  • I had suffered from right side pain in my rib area when I coughed or sneezed for about 3 years until my cancer was finally diagnosed. We looked at EVERYTHING else, but no one would have thought I could have lung cancer.
  • My boyfriend thought his shoulder pain was due to pulling some muscles. After a couple of months of it getting worse...he thought ...oh my Lord...I bet I have a torn rotor-cuff. We only wish it was so... He went from those thoughts to the doctors finding a tumor on shoulder..(no problem, odds are that it is benign)...to hearing lung cancer with metastisis to shoulder and large bones... and 12-18 months??? I started logging this "journey" from MY perspective. The thoughts, feeling and poetry from someone who loves someone...who has cancer.
  • My left thigh was giving me pain for months
  • None! Cancer was found while investigating for a gall stone surgery, by xray, CT scan and MRI
  • Pain cough
  • Pain. The metastasis is skull, spine, ribs, liver, lung and lymph nodes in chest and pelvis, liver, pelvis, hip. Half of my tongue is paralyzed due to c-spine involvement so talking, chewing, swallowing are difficult.
  • Shortness of breath, cough, back pain.
  • There isnt any symptoms with this type of cancer. Its a soft tissue it moves with the body.

    Melanomas of the Skin Symptoms:

  • Assymetry of Mole on Back
  • bad skin
  • mosquito looking bump that appeared out of nowhere and then a black dot appeared in the corner 4 months later
  • Really did not have any - went to see dermatologist for something completely different and was told he did not like a mole I had - biopsy done - call came in - went back for full removal of mole and surrounding area - very very lucky . . .

    Multiple Myeloma Symptoms:

  • fatigue, aching joints
  • None, and I am cancer free.
  • tired, tired, tired

    Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Symptoms:

  • coughing, low grade fever, couldn't breathe while laying down
  • distinsion of the stomach, swelling of the feet.
  • Enlarged lymph nodes, Tired, depression, some pain, hair loss, neuropathy, blisters from the doxil, memory loss, sleeplessness, my blood sugar is on the whack other than that I'm GREAT!
  • Fatigue,Shortness Of Breath Itchy Skin and Enlarged Lymph Node In Groin
  • Feeling pain in abdomin and imagining all those tumors growing
  • fever, sweating, articular pain
  • I had no symptoms. Chest pressure and shortness of breath due to iron deficiency anemia resulted in the CT scan that found my tumor.
  • Lump in neck,
  • Nausea, chills, fever, sweats, depression, infection, tooo many
  • None; I was diagnosed accidentally, through an unrelated ultrasound - although, in retrospect I realize I was having night sweats.
  • sickness no appetite,no taste,sores like skin tears so painful, dry mouth,nausea,
  • sore teeth and a lump in my mouth
  • started with lump on neck. Only one year after the lump that it got diagnosed, and that is because the lymphoma has already spread to the lower abdomen, the intestine, have to remove part of intestine too!
  • Sudden appearance one morning of mass (lump) under my right arm.
  • Thought I had strep throat - face swollen - large lump on coller bone - had hoarse voice

    Oral Cavity and Pharynx Symptoms:

  • Initially, trouble swallowing and pain just below the ribcage ... gradually getting worse.
  • palpable lymph nodes

    Ovarian Cancer Symptoms:

  • all the normal symptoms bloated nausea I even thought it was gall bladder or an ulcer after an inital ultrasound it was diagnosed fast
  • bloating, tired,
  • cramps (like the kind that you have when ovuating)just sort of different... slight weight gain being just a bit more tired than usual, but ultimately
  • Electrolytes plummeted which caused -> no appetite, night sweats/fever, dizziness, headaches, inability to walk, fatigue.
  • I was in my 60's and I had abnormal bleeding for years. Even after Hysterectomy I had spotting. Often, I had urgency to urinate. Just before being DX I had pain both in the gall bladder area and stomach.
  • Just noticed a slight bump on the right side of my tummy one morning...
  • low back pain, similar to ovairan but unrelenting, then it elaclated quickly
  • None really, maybe a little bloating and abdominal pain. This is the scary thing about ovarian cancer; few women have any symptoms at all.
  • None! Went to the ER for a pain in stomach that turned out to be a vein that was bleeding due to a strenous kickboxing class the day before. CT scan showed enlarged ovary! Thank god for the gym!!! Got it early!
  • Not sure if there were any. I did notice a small bump on my lower front abdomen. Also felt pressure on my bladder and occassional pain in my belly prior to bowel movements.
  • ovarian cyst, abnormal periods, bloating weight gain ,pelvic pain
  • pain in side and some intestinal discomfort over a period of time
  • Severe abdominal pain, bloating (3 litres of ascites removed from abdomen in early Jan., 2006), severe Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms masked OVCA symptoms

    Pancreas Cancer Symptoms:

  • Pain in my side...thought is was post-surgery complication. But it wasn't.

    Prostate Cancer Symptoms:

  • None

    Stomach Cancer Symptoms:

  • Flu like In February, back pain. Most symptoms are now from chemo treatments.

    Thyroid Cancer Symptoms:

  • Lump on neck
  • None - was having neck/back pain. MRI showed an enlarged thyroid. Been taking thyroid supplements for 20 years for hypothyroidism.
  • Swollen glands tired all the time and chronic ear infections

    Tonsil Cancer Symptoms:

  • small lump on left side of neck lymph node tumours no pain no other symptoms
  • sore throat, deeper voice, lump in neck.
  • Swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck.
